Itinerary and highlights
Your experience begins with pickup at your accommodation or confirmed meeting point in Cancun. Once aboard the shared transportation, the day starts with the journey toward Tulum and Cobá, two remarkable archaeological sites that reveal different faces of the ancient Maya world.
This first part of the experience sets the mood for a full day of history, nature, regional food, cenote waters, and the lively atmosphere of Playa del Carmen.
The first major stop is Tulum, an ancient Maya city located on a cliff overlooking the Mexican Caribbean Sea. Its stone structures, coastal views, and historic setting create one of the most iconic scenes in the Riviera Maya.
During the visit, a knowledgeable bilingual guide will share insights into the archaeological site, its cultural importance, and the daily life of its inhabitants during its most active period. Travelers will enjoy a guided visit and time to take photos, walk through the site, and appreciate the powerful contrast between ancient history and turquoise Caribbean waters.
Before exploring Cobá, travelers will enjoy a buffet lunch at a nearby restaurant, with time to taste regional dishes and traditional Mexican flavors. This meal adds a warm and local touch to the day before continuing deeper into the jungle side of the Riviera Maya.
At Cobá, travelers will discover an archaeological site surrounded by dense vegetation, where nature and ancient stone paths create a more adventurous atmosphere than the coastal setting of Tulum. Your guide will share stories about the site’s discovery, importance, and connection to the wider Maya world while you explore one of the region’s most fascinating ruins.
After the archaeological visits, the experience continues at Cenote Muul Ichi Ts'ono'ot, a natural limestone cave cenote where travelers can enjoy a refreshing swim in clear freshwater. This stop brings a peaceful and revitalizing change of rhythm after a morning of ruins, walking, and cultural discovery.
Cenotes were meaningful places in ancient Maya culture, and this visit gives travelers the chance to connect with one of the most unique natural landscapes of the Yucatán Peninsula.
The final visit takes travelers to Playa del Carmen’s famous 5th Avenue, one of the most lively pedestrian areas in the Riviera Maya. Here, travelers will have free time to walk, browse shops, take photos, enjoy the atmosphere, or simply feel the Caribbean energy of this popular coastal town.
This stop adds a relaxed and social ending to the tour after a day filled with archaeology, nature, and regional flavors.
After the visit to Playa del Carmen, travelers will meet the guide again and board the transportation back toward Cancun. This final part of the day offers a quiet close to a complete Riviera Maya route filled with history, cenote waters, local food, jungle scenery, and Caribbean town life.
Meeting and pickup information
- This experience provides round-trip transportation, including pickup and return service from your hotel/accommodation or from an established meeting location, depending on the pickup arrangements available in your area. Transportation coverage applies to the following zones: CANCÚN * Hotel Zone (Blvd Kukulcan) * Downtown * Puerto Cancún * Puerto Juárez * Punta Sam * Playa Mujeres * Costa Mujeres PUERTO MORELOS * Coastal hotel and resort area covering Riviera Maya and Puerto Morelos IMPORTANT: In Cancún: Hotels or accommodations situated within the southwestern quadrant of the city, between the intersection of Av Cancún and Av Kabah, as well as those located within the northern quadrant after Av José López Portillo, are handled only through a downtown meeting point due to security conditions and the poor condition of certain streets. Even when a property appears among the listed accommodations, transportation will still be scheduled from the downtown area. Hotels or accommodations located in the northern quadrant of Cancún, after Av José López Portillo, are also limited to a downtown meeting point because of safety conditions and the poor state of local roads. Even if the accommodation is displayed on the list, transportation will be arranged from downtown Cancún. This experience does NOT offer hotel pickup on any island and does not include ferry fares or crossing tickets to or from an island. If you are staying, for example, on Isla Mujeres or Cozumel, you are responsible for making the crossing independently. Our transportation will collect you at the bus stop closest to the ferry pier on the mainland side of Riviera Maya, and your return service will finish at the same place where you originally boarded. Certain accommodations, hotels, or resorts may be subject to access limitations caused by security concerns, road barriers, restrictions imposed by authorities, deteriorated streets, or unpaved routes that cannot be reached safely by vehicle. If any of these conditions apply, the final confirmation sent one day before your trip will provide the closest accessible meeting point and/or bus stop. Access to the grounds of medium-sized and large hotels, resorts, or hotel complexes may also depend on each property's internal rules. Although most properties allow shared excursion transportation services to enter, some may restrict access for security or privacy reasons. If access is denied or limited, the final confirmation sent one day before your trip will direct you to the hotel entrance or to the nearest accessible meeting point outside the hotel premises. If the meeting location selected during your booking is later confirmed by our team through the final confirmation but does not correspond to the accommodation where you are actually staying, you must notify our team in writing by email, reservation chat, text message, or WhatsApp, preferably within the first minutes/hours after receiving that final confirmation. This gives us the opportunity to adjust the transportation arrangements and meet you outside your actual accommodation or at another assigned meeting point. If you did not notify our team in writing beforehand and request a meeting point change only a few minutes before, during, or after your scheduled pickup time, the modification will depend entirely on availability and approval and cannot be guaranteed. A late change may disrupt the scheduled pickup sequence for other travelers and affect the timing of guests who are already inside the vehicle. Under our standard operating procedure, our team will first look for travelers at the hotel lobby, official boarding area, or front desk and, only afterward, at a newly assigned meeting location when such a change has previously been approved. Exact pickup schedules differ considerably according to the area where travelers are staying. Several vehicles operate simultaneously and are distributed by geographic zone, meaning that no individual vehicle covers every pickup area. Approximate pickup windows include: Cancún downtown and Hotel Zone: 6:30 AM – 7:45 AM Playa Mujeres and Costa Mujeres: 5:50 AM – 6:50 AM Puerto Morelos: 6:45 AM – 7:30 AM By completing your reservation, you acknowledge and agree that the estimated times above are not final or fixed and can vary according to the exact location of each hotel or meeting point. By booking this experience, you also acknowledge and accept that its transportation operation is organized from Cancún. As a result, accommodations located farther away from central Cancún may receive an earlier or later pickup schedule. The time indicated on your ticket is an average boarding time commonly assigned to most travelers. Please contact our team directly to obtain your precise pickup schedule. If anything is unclear, you should also verify your assigned meeting location directly with our team. Please be ready at the designated place and time, at least 5 minutes before your confirmed pickup. The permitted waiting period is very short and cannot be extended indefinitely for a single traveler. Please observe the scheduled timing. Remember that even a brief delay can accumulate throughout the transportation route and negatively affect guests already participating in the experience as well as those who have not yet been collected. REMEMBER: The day before your trip, a final confirmation message will be sent through the contact channels associated with your reservation. This communication will contain your exact pickup time and boarding location. It is delivered through the reservation chat, email, and the telephone number entered in the reservation using WhatsApp and/or text message, depending on the communication methods available for that number and our ability to verify receipt. We therefore strongly encourage every traveler to provide truthful, up-to-date, active, and reachable contact information.

- Important notice: This experience operates under a route planned for travelers staying in Cancun, Costa Mujeres, Puerto Morelos, and nearby northern Quintana Roo areas. Guests staying farther south, including Playa del Carmen, Riviera Maya, or Tulum, may still join the tour, but the itinerary must be adjusted. In these cases, the visit to Playa del Carmen is not included, because Playa del Carmen is normally the final stop before the transportation returns to the northern part of the state. For southern area pickups, the route and transportation logistics are handled separately. When booking from Playa del Carmen, Riviera Maya, or Tulum, the experience will include Tulum, Cobá, the cenote, and lunch only. The Playa del Carmen stop will be omitted. By reserving from the southern area of Quintana Roo, you confirm that you understand and accept this itinerary modification. You also agree that this adjustment does not qualify for any compensation, partial refund, full refund, credit, or reimbursement of any kind.
- Traveling with luggage is only possible when the transportation vehicle assigned to your reservation has sufficient storage space and our operations team approves it beforehand. If you need to bring suitcases or other large belongings, contact us before the excursion so we can review the transportation assigned to your service. Vehicle capacity is limited, and luggage acceptance cannot be guaranteed.
- Beginning April 21, 2026, archaeological sites in Mexico have applied security measures restricting visitors from entering with backpacks and luggage. For this reason, we recommend bringing only what is necessary for the visit, ideally items that can be carried in pockets or in a small personal bag. Certain exceptions may be considered, including diaper bags, but admission of any item remains entirely at the discretion of the archaeological site's security personnel. We cannot assume responsibility for belongings denied at the entrance. During this particular excursion, travelers may leave personal items inside the transportation vehicle while completing the scheduled visits.
- Once the group has left the vehicle at a tour stop, passengers may re-enter only when the guide or staff announces the official boarding time. Guests cannot return to the vehicle early or remain inside while the rest of the group completes a visit. Other passengers may have left personal belongings in the vehicle, so this rule is enforced to maintain security and protect everyone's property.
- The operations team determines which bus or minibus is used and how passengers are distributed according to availability and the logistical requirements of the day. A particular vehicle, brand, unit, or seat cannot be selected online, requested upon arrival, or reserved directly with staff. We will always try to provide a comfortable transportation experience, but exact seating positions and placement in a specific vehicle cannot be held or guaranteed.
- If friends, relatives, or members of the same group booked under different reservations and would like to travel in the same vehicle, please notify us in advance. When everyone is being collected from the same accommodation, we will try to place the reservations together, although this remains subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. If the travelers are staying at different hotels within the same city, coordination may still be attempted, but riding together is not assured. When reservations originate in different cities, it is not possible to coordinate them in the same transportation unit.
- Participation must begin within one of the cities or geographic areas specifically listed in the Transportation section. Guests cannot independently meet the group at Chichen Itza, at another attraction included in the itinerary, or at any location outside the authorized pickup zones. For example, driving independently to Chichen Itza and attempting to join the group there is not permitted. Pickup from an accommodation located within the authorized service area, such as Moon Palace resort, may be possible depending on the applicable transportation conditions. For operational coordination, safety, and communication purposes, every participant must meet the team at the assigned morning pickup point, board the official transportation, and complete the required check-in process before the excursion begins.
- If your reservation does not yet contain a confirmed hotel or designated meeting location, you must send this information no later than the applicable cutoff on the day before the tour. Monday through Saturday: 9:50 PM / 21:50 hrs (GMT-5). Sunday: 8:00 PM / 20:00 hrs (GMT-5). The information may be provided through any available contact channel. Once the deadline has passed, new last-minute pickup arrangements can no longer be added to the transportation operation. If the required hotel or meeting-point information is not received on time, the reservation will automatically be transferred to the next available date. This automatic change is made without an additional fee or rescheduling penalty. However, once the reservation has been moved under this policy, it will no longer be eligible for a refund.
- The durations shown for each itinerary section represent the complete operating segment rather than only the amount of time physically spent inside an attraction. Depending on the segment, the stated duration may include transportation to the location, the scheduled visit or activity, group organization, boarding, and the time required to continue toward the next stop or begin the return route. Please review the itinerary description for the approximate distribution of time throughout the experience.
- Our team works to keep the tour as close as possible to the planned itinerary. However, the schedule is influenced by several factors, including morning pickup punctuality, travelers returning to the vehicle at the time established by the guide, and road or traffic conditions beyond our control. Please be ready at the assigned morning pickup time and carefully follow the meeting times communicated at every stop. Even a delay of only a minute can accumulate when repeated throughout the route and may eventually affect a considerable portion of the day's schedule and the experience of the rest of the group.
- The box lunch provided with this excursion is a fixed meal. It forms part of the standard service and cannot be modified or substituted to accommodate special diets, food restrictions, or personal meal preferences.
- This tour includes a considerable amount of walking. Comfortable footwear and clothing suitable for spending the day walking and visiting the different locations are recommended.
- A regional Mexican buffet is also included during the excursion. Travelers may choose freely from the dishes available on the buffet. Vegetarian selections are offered; however, at this time the buffet cannot be specifically modified or prepared according to other individual dietary regimes.
